Thursday marked the premiere of the legendary Kool G Rap's Return of The Don EP.
An undisputed heavy-hitter in the earlier days of Hip-Hop and a living legend within the genre, the Queens-bred emcee came back with a vengeance, crafting a project that retained his signature sound while giving a nod to younger and newer artists who continue to carry the torch of tradition in the gray area that the genre is quickly becoming.
"That’s what the Return Of The Don represents," G Rap said of the project. "An amalgamation of past, present and future and a tribute to some of my most favorite spitters worldwide; this is my salute to those artists.”
Wasting no time, the storied lyricist also rolled out the very first visuals to come of the EP.
Tagging in fellow emcees Termanology and Saigon, Kool G Rap steps in front of the screen to deliver on the Myster DL-directed music video for the track "Running."
