Kodie Shane has been building hype around her name. As the first Lady in Lil Yachty's Sailing Team, she's been getting more ears to listen to her. While a co-sign from one of the most buzzing pop stars on the planet definitely doesn't hurt, that isn't what's carrying her career. Over the past little bit, she's been dropping solid music and collaborating not only with Yachty but has also had work with Uzi. All three rappers collaborated on "Hold Up" record last year. So for an up-and-comer to collab with two of the most promising XXL Freshmen of 2016, it's usually an indication of good things to come. Alongside that song, she's been dropping a slew of dope singles and projects as well that has definitely brought the anticipation around  her Back From The Future EP which dropped today.

Back From The Future is Kodie Shane expanding and growing her signature style. Over seven tracks, she gets no assistance from her Sailing Boat head, Lil Yachty, nor any artist at that. While many would expect the same kind of style off of their impression from the fun "Drip On My Walk," this EP shows a sense of maturity from the young artist. She opens up the project on with the low-tempo "Get Right" before getting into the more turnt up stuff. For anyone who has been waiting on this project, you definitely won't be disappointed.

The release of Back From The Future is coming at a pretty good time. Right now, she's currently embarking on the "Teenage Tour" with Lil Yachty which kicked off on August 17th and ends on September 24th. She'll also be performing alongside Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane, YoungBoy Never Broke Again and Rich The Kid for "Weezyana" Festival in New Orleans. She's definitely has a promising future ahead.
