Kodak Black gets real for a minute.
As per a new video he shared via Instagram Live, Florida emcee Kodak Black isn't prone to listening to the music that some of his fellow up-and-comers in the hip-hop game. Specifically, Kodak supposedly doesn't bump to Lil Uzi Vert or Lil Yachty.
In the short update, Kodak Black implies that he's only focused on his own music, saying that he's got some more albums that are coming out soon. Before he segues into talking about how he misses the exhilaration that comes with "hitting licks" and how's obsessed with the streets, he shared his true feelings about the tracks that Uzi and Yachty have been putting out.
"I am not like these other n****s," Kodak says. "I don’t even listen to Uzi, these n****s d**k in the booty, they confusing the community [...] I don’t even listen to Yachty, he don’t even be dropping no knowledge," he continued. Even someone like YoungBoy Never Broke Again, someone that Kodak has collaborated with before, is considered "straight" by the Florida rapper, but not given praise or anything of that sort. Again, he's focused on his own music.
Currently in the prepping stages for the official release of his upcoming project, Project Baby 2, Kodak Black will look to back up those comments with a strong showing with listeners in the next little while. You can view a video of his Instagram Live session below.
