Knicks lift ban after meeting with Silver, MJ.
Just days after New York Knicks owner James Dolan banned Charles Oakley from Madison Square Garden, called him an alcoholic and bashed him on "The Michael Kay Show" he has had a change of heart.
In a statement released by Adam Silver last night, Dolan expressed hope that Oakley would be his guest at MSG in the near future, but nobody expected it would be this soon.
However, Oakley has told the New York Daily News that an immediate resolution wouldn't be easy because “some of the things that were said about me hurt.”
If ownership said Oak needs help and then 4 days later you're lifting a ban are you admitting that to imply Oak is an alcoholic was wrong?— Frank Isola (@FisolaNYDN) February 14, 2017
J. Dolan should have extended the olive branch when he went on king Mike's radio show last Friday. Calling Oak an alcoholic crossed the line— Frank Isola (@FisolaNYDN) February 14, 2017
