Since dropping his Playa Made EP in February, Kirko Bangz has stayed active with a few different freestyle releases, including a Ricky Racks-produced H-Town tribute spat live from the HNHH studio. Today, he's back with a new loosie dedicated to a girl whom he's been crushing on since he was a kid, taking inspiration from the relationship seen between Omar Epps and Sanaa Lathan in the 2000 film "Love & Basketball."

"Love & Basketball" is produced by Toronto's Burd & Keyz as well as The Mekanics, and Kirko lays down his most melodic of flows over the mellow backdrop. The song properly shows how that life-altering feeling of puppy love really never goes away. Plus, everybody's got a soft spot for "Love & Basketball." What a flick.

Quotable Lyrics

This that me and you against the world
Feel like I grew up with ya girl
What a n*gga gonna do without you
I'm through without you, I'm glued to you girl
