Watch King Louie's new interview with CNN.

Right before Christmas, King Louie was reportedly shot in the head while out in Chicago. The initial report didn't provide too many details, just that the rapper was in stable condition. A follow-up post from King L showed off a few bandages and wounds, although nothing visibly on his head, and the rapper appeared to be in good spirits. Today King L has done his first interview since the shooting, providing more details on what actually happened. The rapper was released from the hospital a day ago, on his birthday no less, and says there is a bullet remaining in his head.

Talking with CNN, King Louie explains, "Well I was in my car, I was finna leave my friend's house, and someone started shooting at my car. I think they said they shot like 22 shots or whatever, and I was hit 7 times. Three of the slugs are still with me today, two in my chest and one in my head."

He goes on to discuss the current state of things in Chicago. Watch it above.

We're wishing him a speedy recovery.
