Kid Jones

Kid Jones was born in Los Angeles, CA on February 28th, 1986. Kid’s earliest years were spent in Oceanside, CA being raised by his single mother. Kid Jones’ initial introduction to music, arts, and sports during his educational journey helped him to develop a true passion for performing. Later incidents during Kid’s senior year of high school pushed him to begin pursuing music as a fulltime career. Kid released his first mixtape, Hustler of The Year in 2008. The mixtape led to a string of performances and the release of his first full-length self-titled album KID JONES. Kid was declared the winner of The Urban Networks Music Entertainment and Marketing Summit Indie Music Showcase where he received a distribution deal, radio play, and a featured single on Marble Ice Entertainments compilation album titled The Future. Kid was also selected to be on Slip-N-Slide Records On Da Grind due to the prior success of his two singles Old School, and This is What I Do. Kid has been featured in What’s Tha Juice Magazine, Urban Network Magazine, S.G.I. B. Magazine, and Expose Magazine. He has also made guest appearances on DPG TV, and The Val Show. Kid Jones has always understood the importance of education throughout his career, earning his B.A. in Sociology from California State University, Los Angeles in 2010. He currently graduated from The Los Angeles Recording School in Hollywood, CA receiving a degree in Audio Engineering. Juggling school while also pursuing a music career has been challenging for Kid, but has taught him the importance of education in both his personal and professional life. “My life has revolved around making something from nothing. Things always change and you have to adjust. It’s all about focus and dedication” – Kid Jones Kid Jones has been enjoying recent success with the release of his first music video entitled Love Toy off his self-titled album. Kid is currently in the studio gearing up for the release of his third album, which is scheduled to drop in 2013.
