If you listen to Kevin Gates' music, then you are probably aware of quite a bit of his life story, as he often details it in his rhymes. However, he doesn't open up too much about his time spent in jail although we did have a very personal interview with the Baton Rouge native back in September where he opened up about his depression, among other things.
Gates recently sat down with Peter Rosenberg where he discusses being from Baton Rouge and carrying Louisiana on his back right now. Gates drops off some names of local rappers to watch for, and also discusses his time spent in jail for a lengthy interview.
