Everyone in New York is putting their eggs in the Kevin Durant basket -- it could result in a double negative if other free agent hopefuls shy away because of it. Everyone wants a love as strong as The Carter's next vacation, and right now Kevin Durant is hogging all the affection.

Yesterday we reported that a billboard was erected close to Madison Square Garden, which depicted a cartoon rendering of Kevin Durant standing next to Kristaps Porzingis, with a caption that read: "Can you make NY sports great again?" Kevin Durant addressed the billboard "recruitment" after practice Thursday night.

"To be honest, I don’t know how to feel about that type of stuff. It’s cool, no disrespect, but I’m not really impressed with that type of stuff," Durant told reporters. "I just really like playing basketball. I try to focus. My entertainment is really what happens on the basketball court. For me, I don’t really get up for that stuff."

What no one is reporting regarding Durant's impending free agency, is that he holds a players option for next season that he can punch in any moment before July. Durant's next move is anyone's guess, he is, after all, a fairly difficult person to read.
