Dr. Luke's team is continuing their pursuit against Kesha with new documentation and a fresh denial of the allegations she had made against him. They are pushing a defamation suit against the singer to prove that her 2014 filing of alleged sexual assault and battery was "categorically" fabricated. The new documents are meant to “absolve him from any wrongdoing.”
Their statement compiles “published articles and recollections from family and friends for evidence of contradiction” to the claims made against Dr. Luke. He had been accused of drugging and raping Kesha on the night of October 5, 2005. Both parties had attended Nicky Hilton Rothschild’s birthday at a Hollywood nightclub and each made their way to the afterparty at Paris Hilton’s home. After consuming “at least four drinks,” according to the documentation, Kesha was kicked out of the event after throwing up in Hilton's closet.
Dr. Lukes legal team claims that “Kesha maliciously plotted to destroy Dr. Luke’s business and reputation” after their contract negotiations of 2012 turned sour in disagreement.
Lady Gaga and Katy Perry are being named this new legal filing. A text conversation between Gaga and Kesha show both pop artists’ speaking on Perry. It shows Kesha saying “she’s so mean” and Gaga agreeing “she makes me angry.”
