Hours before Barack Obama handed the presidential torch to Donald Trump, Kendrick Lamar shared a message for Barry O on Twitter.

"We really gonna miss you champ," he tweeted at @POTUS. "The good you've done & opportunity's you've given. Truly never know what we got til its gone. Thank u."

Kendrick and Barack are old pals: Kendrick visited the White House to help out with his "My Brother's Keeper" initiative. Obama is on the record picking Kendrick over Drake and named "How Much a Dollar Cost" his favorite song of 2015. Kendrick challenged him to a game of basketball not to long ago. Now that Barack is a president-emeritus, maybe they call finally ball.
