Kendrick Lamar's "good kid, m.A.A.d city" Officially Goes Platinum

Kendrick Lamar has officially moved a million copies of his major label debut.

You may remember when Kendrick was preemptively awarded a platinum plaque for good kid, m.A.A.d city back in June. At that point one million copies of the album had been shipped, but it was not until this week that the record's sales finally hit 7 figures.

It's likely no coincidence that the album hit platinum a week after K.Dot's monstrous "Control" verse made such an impact, earning him a 9k increase in sales, with his current tally at 1,003,000.

Congrats to Kendrick on the accomplishment! Watch the presentation of his plaque below.
