Kendrick Lamar Recites Bars From A Verse That Didn't Make "To Pimp A Butterfly"

Kendrick Lamar spits part of a verse that didn't make the cut of his new album.

We recently found out that the song Kendrick Lamar performed on The Colbert Report was written specifically for the show, and a recorded version will never see the light of day. It turns out there was yet another verse written in advance of the album that will also never make it on record, but this one almost made the cut.

While guesting on Power 106's The Cruz Show, K-Dot recited a few bars from the 16, but mysteriously he said he couldn't continue, as there were some "brutal bars" he couldn't say. "It's not a shot. It's just something I didn't want to put on record."

The excerpt comes around the 9:30 mark.
