Kendrick Lamar and his Black Hippy crew have reportedly inked a deal with Aftermath & Interscope records.
Kendrick Lamar and Black Hippy will now be able to reach a broader market, which could be good news or bad news depending on which way you look at it, as they have signed a deal with Aftermath and Interscope.
The FADER reports that that founder of Top Dawg Entertainment, Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith, says that TDE “just closed” a joint venture deal with Interscope Records and Aftermath Entertainment, the label imprint founded by Dr. Dre.
The details we have for now are that Kendrick's forthcoming (as of yet untitled) album will be released jointly by TDE, Aftermath & Interscope. Black Hippy members Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul and Jay Rock's material will be released jointly by Top Dawg and Interscope. More details to come from Tiffith.
