14 months ago, Kehlani went on a Twitter tirade against United Airlines and concluded her rant by deletng her Twitter account. According to Jezebel, Kehlani wrote, “Due to constantly being misunderstood..Having my words constantly used against me... And for the sake of my mental health... I deactivated my Twitter account. From now on I’ll just let my music speak.”
Kehlani's tumultuous relationship with social media ("Social media is the goddamn devil") played a major role in her suicide attempt earlier this year. She's released a couple great songs this summer, in particular "Distraction," and seems to be in a better mental space. Sunday, she re-activated her Twitter account under the handle @kehlani. "Back in this bitch," she wrote in first tweet.
