Kanye West's "Black Skinhead" will serve as the first official single off his recent album "Yeezus". He also is readying a new music video for the single as well.
Kanye West's "no strategy" approach held on strong for a while, but couldn't last forever. With no single or video thus far, Billboard has confirmed that Kanye West will release "Black Skinhead" as his first official single off Yeezus.
According to Billboard, Kanye has been sending DJ's the clean/radio versions of his record "Black Skinhead". Along with that, the new radio single will coincide with an upcoming music video as well, which is already in the works according to Def Jam. We can expect this combo of both video and radio single to impact around the fourth of July holiday weekend, which as we know is only next weekend. "Black Skinhead" makes pretty good sense as the first single considering 'Ye performed it for his highly-rated SNL appearance last month, which can be seen again below (via Youtube).
Do you think "Black Skinhead" is a good choice for the first single? If not, what record do you think Ye should've used?
