Kanye West flew into Chicago yesterday to assist Chance the Rapper in a landmark session. To mark the occasion of Michael Jackson's 60th (would-be) birthday, Kanye filmed himself chopping up the acapella from the late singer's hit record "Never Can Say Goodbye." Chance the Rapper can be seen in the background bopping to the sample chop as Kanye becomes fully engrossed in the process.

Kanye invited a few of his old cronies to the swap meet: among them Bump J and GLC. We already reported that Zaytoven was on hand to draw the curtain, all in an effort to work on Chance the Rapper's upcoming project with Kanye.

The stencil merely began as an homage, but to what end? "I came out here with Chance to work on his album, and I’ve just been hanging out with my friends,” Kanye West said to Fox 32 News.

Kanye West has put Michael Jackson's music to use in the past, most notably on Graduation, on "Good Life" with Teddy Pinnederass, which sampled the underage shocker "P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing)." It can be argued that Kanye modeled his excellency after MJ's conscientious branding. Again, happy 60th MJ, you really wrote the book on foot tapping.
