Charts Don't Lie: April 6
It's April 6th, and time for another edition of our Charts Don't Lie series. This week, we see a couple new records begin to chart, in the form of K. Michelle's More Issues Than Vogue and Young Thug's Slime Season 3. The two releases land at #2 and #7 respectfully. It's worth noting that Zayn's solo debut Mind of Mine snagged the #1 spot for its debut on the Billboard 200.

K. Michelle's foray into reality television has broadened her fan base considerably. After spending the bulk of 2015 on tour, the Memphis singer spent the first couple months of 2016 rolling out a series of promising tracks from her third studio album More Issues Than Vogue. The album finally dropped last night and is now available for streaming on all platforms.

Azealia Banks is taking her debut album, Broke with Expensive Taste, on the road, where she'll be joined by r'n'b singer K. Michelle (who will be taking her own album, Anybody Wanna Buy A Heart? on the tour). The two have announced a slew of tour dates, kicking off on September 15th in Indianapolis, and running through Detroit, New York, Atlanta, Houston and more before wrapping up on October 15th. It's a Cole Winter. The rapper surprised us when he announced his new album 2014 Forest Hills Drive in late November, and released the album shortly thereafter. J. Cole stripped the album release of all things unnecessary, from endless promo interviews where the same subjects are broached again and again, to excessive bonus records, to the expected listening sessions with industry insiders.

Michelle, the former "Love & Hip-Hop" star has denied the comments live on The Breakfast Club. “You can giggle on these nuts," said Michelle. Having admitted repeatedly in the past that she has had some work done on her backside, R&B diva K. Michelle isn't one to shy away from surgery accusations. In fact, she meets them head on. Before her concert performance in Montgomery, Alabama, K. Michelle posted a note to her Instagram account, dismissing haters who speak against her flaunting her backside. She writes:

This week we really saw the effects of Kendrick Lamar's verse on "Control" transfer over to the charts. The rapper's debut album, which officially went platinum this past week, has been slowly creeping back up the charts, something we've been seeing on Charts Don't Lie over the past weeks. Rather than jumping the usual few places this week though, K. Dot leaped 17 spots into the top 50 of the Billboard 200-- now at #36.
