Justin Bieber's bodyguard Michael Arana is one lucky man. Last year, the singer's bodyguard was responsible for a DUI, inuring two roadside cops, and then fleeing the scene without proper registration. It was widely reported that Arana had crashed his SUV into a parked Police car, leaving the scene with "self-inflicted" injuries. According to TMZ, law enforcement in Miami lack sufficient evidence proving he actually fled. The general theory seems to point to him pulling his car over, some 150 yards from the impact, and the cops never giving chase.

Arana pleaded guilty to Misdemeanor Reckless Driving, as opposed to the two misdemeanor charges of DUI and two felony charges of fleeing the scene, he was facing prior to this juncture. Arana famously refused a breathalyzer or blood test. Witness account for him showing no signs of impairment during attestation. The cops subsequently dropped the DUI charge with the felony still pending.

After all is said and done, Arana will be on the hook for $1,000 in fines and 100 hours of community service. Upon completion, Arana will be forced to enter a victim impact program, and serve a probationary period of heightened scrutiny over the span of one year. Justin Bieber is not involved in any shape or form in his legal battle or the incident itself.
