Since delivering his Believe album back in 2012, Justin Bieber has slowly transformed in front of our eyes, probably in both appearance and in sound. As the pop sensation matured, so did his music.
In 2013, we heard him venture towards grown-man r'n'b rather than tween-oriented pop music, with his weekly #MusicMonday releases, which included a (low-key) dope collaboration with Chance The Rapper, "Confident." After a lengthy wait and promotional campaign, the Biebz is finally ready to let us hear his new-new sound, with the single "What Do You Mean?" via a lyric video, which features pro skaters Ryan Sheckler and Chelsea Castro. Bieber will perform the single live at the MTV VMAs on Sunday night.
The record is a perfect balance of EDM, r'n'b and pop music, thus it's only a matter of time before you hear this all over the radio. The Skrillex-produced single includes a ticking clock, jingly flutes, and a danceable bassline. It's the first single from Bieber's upcoming album, due out in November.
You’re so indecisive of what I’m saying
Trying to catch the beat, make up your heart
Don't know if you're happy, or complaining
