Louisiana state District Judge, Trudy White, has refused to lift indictment charges against Lil Boosie’s alleged hitman Michael “Marlo Mike” Louding. Louding is currently being charged with first-degree murder, for the murder of Terry Boyd. Louding’s attorney, Margaret Lagattuta, also asked the judge to suppress incriminating statements her client made.
In October of 2009 Boosie hired a then-17 year-old Louding to kill Boyd. Although Lil Boosie is currently serving an eight year sentence for attempting to smuggle drugs into prison, he was cleared of all homicide charges in the Boyd case last year. However, Louding still faces a potential sentence of life in prison and the death penalty according to Louisiana law. Lagattuta asked the judge to remove these charges because her client was only 17 and thus a juvenile when the charges were brought against him. His attorney referenced the fact that a Supreme Court case “cannot automatically impose life sentences without the possibility of parole on juveniles in murder cases.”
Louding was previously cleared of all charges during Lil Boosie’s case, but the court feels as though he was most probably lying during the trial. He recently let out a few unflattering statements while speaking on five other homicides, which his attorney is looking to suppress as well. Currently, Lagattuta is asking the 1st Circuit Court of Appeals to lift the judges indictment against Louding.
