Jordan Peele dropped off the first official trailer for his upcoming thriller Us on Christmas Day. Although it showed some of the eerie happenings set to take place in the film (that sparked a lot of fan theories) the latest international trailer is even scarier than the first. In the clip below, you can see Lupita Nyong’o’s character explaining how weird coincidences have been happening since her family headed to their beach house. “It’s like there’s a black cloud hanging over us,” she says.
The rest of the trailer shows more of the family's interaction with their clones and some bloody moments with their friends. "Us pits an endearing American family against a terrifying and uncanny opponent: doppelgängers of themselves," the synopsis for the movie reads.
“The main idea that went into writing this film is that we’re our own worst enemy, and that idea created this monster, The Tethered,” Jordan said of the film. “I wanted to forge this new mythology that explored our duality and the duality of the characters.”
