Back in July, rising Oakland artist Jonn Hart decided to link up with fellow West Coast artists Clyde Carson & Nef The Pharaoh for a new single called "Hammertime.” Paying homage to MC Hammer, here’s what Jonn had to say about the Clayton Williams produced club banger… "I've had the idea to make a song called HammerTime for some years now. When I was in the studio with my producer Clayton William and we flipped "U Can't Touch This" by MC Hammer, the rest was history. I left the studio that night with a Crazy SLAP paying homage to MC Hammer and The Bay.”

Well fast forward to today, and the trio decide to come through and share a new video in its support. Shot in black and white, the slow moving, cinematic video, which serves like a mini-movie, finds Jonn Hart opening the video with a tribute to the legends of the Bay Area, before hitting the streets with the homies and getting jiggy in this Damien Sandoval-directed clip above. In between stuntin’ in the streets, there’s plenty of footage of scenic views and the Golden Gate bridge, but it’s the boisterous energy of the homies in the streets that steal the show here. And if that’s not enough, there is even a cameo from MC Hammer himself, who gives his stamp of approval on the record.

“Call my nephew right now. It’s Hammer time” MC Hammer says in the beginning of the video.

There whereabouts of this record is unknown, but it could see life on Jonn’s forthcoming project, the follow up to 2015's Heart To Hart 3 mixtape.
