Since her split from California rapper G-Eazy, Halsey has been linked to numerous love interests, including John Mayer. The two were first linked when Mayer commented on one of Halsey's Instagram featuring a Yves Saint Laurent lipstick advertisement that she starred in. “It's saying that my billing address doesn't match with the one on my credit card? I've never had this problem before," Mayer commented jokingly. "Can you text me? Thanks." Shortly after dating rumors began swirling, Halsey appeared to shut them down with a witty post in which she declared, "I just had a groundbreaking idea. What if...we let female artists...have friends...without assuming that they are sleeping together? I know I know. It’s like, completely ambitious but like, imagine if we like, tried ?"
A new exchange between Halsey and Mayer seems to have re-ignited talk of a possible relationship between the pair. Earlier today, Halsey posted a video detailing her songwriting struggles. "This Is Your Brain on Writer's Block: everything I write today sounds like my myspace song in 2008 or a poorly disguised Beatles rip off," she captioned the post. "Someone send help." Mayer then proceeded to leave a mischievous comment writing, "I can be over to break your heart in 20?"
Whether or not the pair is romantically involved, there is no denying their impressive repartee.
