The two are rarely featured on WWE's current programming and in their personal lives, they appear to have no interest in ever seeing each other again. After such a dramatic split, John and Nikki have started to send shots at the other on social media. It seems as though the days where they hint at a reunion are over. Now, we can expect subliminal digs and petty status updates on Twitter.
As reported by In Touch Weekly, the former couple was in sync today when they decided to trash one another online. Neither of them mentioned the other's name but the messages were clear enough for people to safely assume that they were talking about their exes. Cena started off the fun with a tweet about looking out for red flags in a relationship, saying, "Beware those who think you owe them happiness at the expense of your own well being."
The next day, Nikki took to her own profile to seemingly respond, circling back to her relationship with John and remembering his stern warnings and the rumoured book of house rules. "When you don’t give him what he wants, he will delete you, silence you, manipulate you, do what he can to destroy you, but turn that hurt into strength. Take the high road and prevail! Happiness can’t be bought, it is priceless. It’s your true secret weapon," she wrote.
Nikki Bella has retired from in-ring action and John Cena rarely appears on Raw or SmackDown Live these days. The two famously got engaged at WrestleMania a few years ago before splitting up.
