Joey Bada$$' long-awaited commercial debut, B4.Da.$$, is dropping this week, and to promote it, he's been on quite the press run this week. He already stopped by Hot 97's Ebro In The Morning to discuss the project three days ago, and last night he was on the station again to hype it up again, and spit a slick freestyle.

Joey Bada$$ is promoting his debut album, B4.DA.$$, which is due out on Tuesday. He's making the interview rounds, and his most recent stop was in his native New York with the Hot 97 morning show. Ebro, Laura Stylez and Peter Rosenberg all chat with Joey about the rapper taking his sound back to '90s hip-hop, and how confident he is of his new album.

To promote his upcoming debut album B4.DA.$$, Joey Badass made his way by the Jimmy Fallon Show Tuesday night and served as the shows musical guest. With the Roots backing him up, Joey brought along DJ Statik Selektah and featured guest, BJ The Chicago Kid, to help perform the collab “Like Me”. With the live band adding its special effect, Joey and company put on one helluva performance for the crowd to vibe out to.

Now we're given a preview of CJ Fly and Joey Bada$$' new video, entitled "Sup Preme." The Pro Era dudes say that it's "inspired by marijuana." Directed by CJ Fly, Kris Merc and Ahmed Klink, this clip will arrive soon, so stay tuned.

Joey Bada$$ is no stranger to nostalgic New York production, which made him a shoe-in for Statik Selektah's 90s-channeling instrumental for "Carry On". Indiana's Freddie Gibbs on the other hand, is known for eclectic production choices, working with everyone from Huntsville underground heroes Block Beataz to legendary looper Madlib. Hearing Freddie go toe-for-toe with Bada$$ is another testament to his versatility, and each of the rappers brings their own flavor to both their verse and performance in the minimal NY-set video.

Joey Bada$$ is in the process of readying his debut album, B4.D4.$$, and in anticipation of the project, he's released an ambitious new short film, which finds a middle-aged Joey time travelling back to 2012, to change his life and make an impact in music. Bada$$ stars as his former self, as he attempts to make it as a rapper, and falls in love with a girl named Denise. Statik Selektah provides the score for the film. It's safe to say the film will probably end up with an "underground for life" message, pairing with the theme of the rapper's upcoming album, B4.DA.$$.
