The 10 Best Diss Tracks Of The 2010s
Of the many things that old heads will insist "were better back in the day," diss tracks are among the few that most younger rap fans can also agree upon. Even if you didn't live through them, the 2Pac / Biggie, Eazy-E / Dr. Dre and Jay Z / Nas beefs all produced shot-firing tracks that still loom large today-- Notorious' "Who Shot Ya" is still referenced by rappers all of the time, and Nas' "Ether" is now so baked into the foundation of rap that its title is now synonymous with a devastating diss.

Bill Cosby has been a hot topic this year. Allegations of rape have flooded in against the once-beloved actor, and more seem to come out the woodwork each day. At first, there was plenty of skepticism facing the story, however with Cosby's own confession coming to light via an unearthed deposition from a sexual abuse lawsuit, there is now little doubt that he did perform the acts he is being accused of.

Charts Don’t Lie: February 8
This week we see Ne-Yo make his grand entrance on the Billboard 200 with Non-Fiction, and we're also analyzing Lupe Fiasco and Joey Bada$$ in their second week out. As we saw last week, Joey Bad started off strong with a #5 debut, much higher than Lupe's Tetsuo & Youth. However was that just hype for his first week out? This week we're seeing Joey make quite steep drop to #41, and although Lupe has dropped as well, he's actually coming in slightly higher than B4.DA.$$.
Chart’s Don’t Lie: February 1
This week both Joey Bada$$ and Lupe Fiasco finally make their splash on the Billboard 200. One splash was bigger than another, though. The sales projections for both artists were pretty accurate, with Joey doing 57,694 units when you take into account the single and album streams, and Lupe doing 42,458. Joey's numbers not only outdid his veteran competitor Lupe Fiasco, but he also outdid fellow newcomers Rae Sremmurd, who are currently charting in their third week.
