When Joey Bada$$ shared the news that he was planning on releasing a Martin Luther King Jr. tribute, a lot of us moved to the edge of our seats in anticipation of the single.
As promised, Joey has released the single "Land Of The Free" and it is as legendary and important as we thought it would be. The Pro Era spitta ethers the whole track and delivers bars that leave you questioning the validity of social constructs and to an extent, your own identity. Additionally, the rapper is extremely transparent on the track and his genuine honesty puts this song close to your heart instantly. On top of all that, the production on this cut is just flat out ridiculous and this offering is certainly a job well done by Joey.
This release serves as the first single from his upcoming album AABA and while there is no release date for the project, this track should definitely hold us over until more details emerge.
