Joey Bada$$ has been hurtling around the globe at a breakneck pace since he released his debut album at the top of the year, and it appears that his high-octane lifestyle has finally caught up to him. The Brooklyn rapper announced yesterday on his Facebook page that he has cancelled several December tour dates in Europe and New Jersey, citing exhaustion.
He was schedule to perform in Copenhagen last night before heading to Oslo tonight (December 3), followed by Helsinki tomorrow, December 4, and Stockholm on December 5. Though Bada$$ didn't mention it in his FB note, his show in Stockholm on December 5 is presumably cancelled as well. His now-cancelled New Jersey performance was scheduled to go down on December 17th in the Starland Ballroom.
In his note, Bada$$ explained that concerns for his physical, mental, and emotional health led him to cancel the shows. He seemed genuinely bummed/apologetic. But in the long run, better for him to keep his sanity intact. He is still only 20 years old... he'll be back.
