From a very young age Joan Garcia AKA Joany Patrony has been into music. Joan dabbled with Piano playing at age 8, wrote her first rhyme at 10. Joan at age 14, self taught herself how to play the guitar and harmonized vocals to it as well. At age 17; Joan wrote a rap, originally intended to be backed by guitar but ultimately she selected an instrumental for it. This led to the creation of her first single entitled “Story of My Life”. Joan describes the guess the state of the world as what got her into hip hop. Once Joan started truly started listening and understanding the meaning of hip hop is where her inspiration truly began. Joan upon listening to great hip hop artists with strong messages she decided she had to deliver her messages to the masses too. Joan has influences such as Nas, Immortal Technique, 2 Pac, Gangstarr, Eminem, Kanye, Common, De La Soul, Atmosphere, Murs, Cunninlynguists, Talib Kweli, Dilated Peoples, Easy-E, Queen Latifah, Salt ‘n’ Pepa, and Lauryn Hill. The names of Joans’ first two releases will tentatively be called “Introducing Joany Patrony” and “The Force is here: Joan Jedi”. Joan is poised to bring forth change and love of Hip Hop back to the art form all the while re-teaching the youth the righter ways of life. As far as performances; Joan has performed twice at the Nuyorican Poets Café which is where she got discovered by the Real Hits Songs Management Team. As far as collaborations; Joan has only collaborated with hip hop artist Frank Knight on the track entitled “Morpheus Vision”. Regarding her team; Joan states “Real hit songs, I feel we like we united together at a very crucial time for a very special reason; I don't know how to explain it but I just feel like time is on our side and what we're about to create is gonna shock the world.” As you can see Joan at age 18, brings a lot to the game of hip hop and her releases will enlighten the masses.
