Singles from the album include “Doin‘ Me“, “Heard It All Before“, and “Take You There“. J Crill found his love for music when he was in the 4th grade when listening to “Gangsters Paradise” by the famous Coolio. He had came up with a verse to the song and that’s when he realized he wanted to further his love of music. J Crill has been writing songs since he was twelve years old. Since then he’s bought his own equipment and recording software and slowly but surely gained his way into the underground music scene. In 2010, J Crill will launch and promote his first album. It provides insight into the world of a relationship, and with that relationship comes a break up. From the smooth ballads that can be cherished by the softest women, to upbeat dance songs of living the life – these songs are best understood by real people with real problems. In his words: “The Death of Amour” is a concept album that takes the fans through the ups and the downs of getting over a relationship. It goes from one end of the spectrum where you’re feeling heartbroken, to the other, where I’m just ‘Doin Me.’ It’s like trying to get back together after a break up. You’ve had your time apart, and right away you want to express all your concerns, all your flaws, and let them know exactly what you’ve been through so that there’s little room for error. I really just want to draw the fans into me as a person so that we can communicate better in the future.” J Crill continues to pursue his passion for music, penning lyrics for many up and coming mixtapes. Much of his musical influence comes from his passion of soulful music acts which include Michael Jackson, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Jay-Z, Lupe Fiasco, Kanye West, Drake, Linkin Park, Coldplay, and N.E.R.D. When J Crill isn’t pursuing music you can probably find him on the basketball court, or on the dance floor, or even at home playing video games. He has also taken a up an interest in dancing and modeling, J Crill is an incredibly talented individual with so much going for him. Finally, a rapper who is equal parts ambitious and humble, aggressive and empathetic, and witty while still being genuine. He's J Crill, and he's just put out one of hip hop’s best albums of next year... his own way.
