Jaylien has a brand new track for us called "Trust," premiering today on our site. The St. Louis native brings the cool, frustrated vibes to a track about how his lack of trust in his girl is taking over.
Jaylien said about the writing process for "Trust" that "[it] was inspired from a heated conversation I had with my woman while I was in the studio. She told me she could never trust me fully with her reasons why. Her reasons didn't make any sense & just frustrated me. So out of those emotions I cut my phone off, pulled up this track from XXYYXX that I had saved in my back pocket & the words just poured out."
The production by XXYYXX was also a dream that Jaylien managed to fulfill on this record. "I've been a fan of XXYYXX since 2012 when he dropped 'About You.' Then a couple years later when SZA made 'Child's Play' to that track, I felt that he should have more songs written on his production. It's very unique."
