The recent wave of police shootings and ensuing protests inspired Jay Z to release a new single "Spiritual." He followed that up over the weekend with a 24-track playlist called "Songs for Survival."

The playlist features songs that cut off generation and genre. It kicks things off with some Goodie Mob before heading on a soul tip -- Curtis Mayfield, Nina Simone, Stevie Wonder, & Marvin Gaye. Other notable songs include Beyonce and Kendrick Lamar's "FREEDOM," which they performed recently at the BET Awards, Kanye West's "Ultralight Beam," and Outkast's "Vibrate."

Some interesting selections from Hov. This playlist is on point. TIDAL subscribers can listen to it in full below.
