Billy Danze of M.O.P. is less than a week removed from his new project, Six Pack. The rapper's been doing a little press run lately which included his appearance on Doggie Diamond's No Filter podcast. Billy Danze shared a very rare anecdote with the host about the remix to M.O.P's single, "Ante Up." Danze revealed that as the beef between Jay-Z and Prodigy began to bubble, the two were supposed to feature on the remix together. However, Danze decided against it because he wasn't trying to get in the middle of the feud.
Billy Danze revealed that he wasn't going to allow Prodigy to diss Jay-Z on his own song or vice verse. Danze said he received a verse from Prodigy which included a few shots at Jay-Z after asking Hov for a verse for the "Ante Up" remix.
"Jay was supposed to get on the song. Prodigy had did a verse for the song. But I didn’t wanna use Prodigy’s verse, because he was talking about Jay,” Danze revealed. “So, I hit Jay and said ‘nevermind, don’t worry about the verse, we’re closing the song out.’"
He added, "I couldn’t allow that. Even if it was the other way around, even if Jay was on the record dissing Prodigy, I would’ve taken Jay off the record. You don’t bring your little beef or little war into my house; I don’t do that.”
