Jay-Z & Beyonce Lose Bid To Trademark Blue Ivy's Name

The Carters lost the battle to trademark their daughter's name, as a Boston-based company already owns the trademark.

Jay-Z and Beyonce's newest member of the family, Blue Ivy, will not have her name trademarked like her parents wanted.

Hov and Queen B lost their bid to trademark their daughters name, reports AHH. The super star couple attempted to file a trademark on Blue Ivy's name shortly after she was born in January 2012.

Reports say the couple lost to Blue Ivy Events, a Boston company. The Judge on the case sided with Blue Ivy Events, owned by Veronica Alexandra. 

Alexandra's company can continuing marketing their name and doing business with the name Blue Ivy, as the Carter's lost the trademark.
