Jarren Benton Feat. OnCue & Big Rube
Rappers tend to assume a persona larger then themselves, one that is rich, good-looking, and invincible. On his new release "Scared," Jarren Benton inhabits the vocal charisma of this approach but inverts its emotional conceit. Benton pulls back the curtain to make himself appear anything but invincible -- he is plagued with self-doubt and a pervasive fear of nearly everything. By baring his vulnerability for all to see, he perhaps hopes to come to terms with it.

Riding With My Gs
Chris Rivers Feat. Jarren Benton
The young gun Chris Rivers drops off "Riding With My Gs" feat. Jarren Benton to tide his fans over while they wait on his upcoming mixtape Medicated Consumption. Can a beat be funny? If so, this instrumental is hilarious. Producer DoB turns some drunken, pitched up vocals into an instrument, bouncing it around the periphery of the mix as Rivers and Benton tackle the meaty middle with a double-time cadence.
TunK Feat. Jarren Benton & Drazah Backwards
TunK is a rapper out of Jacksonville, Florida who started rapping at thirteen, and has since been proving his skills in the world of battle rap. Today he's teaming up with another emcee who's known for his confrontational rap style, Funk Volume's Jarren Benton. Nevertheless, "No Chill" is a decidedly fun record, built off of a loopy synth beat with clap snares left right and centre. That is until the final third where things cool down, only to take the energy right back up again.
