Jabbar is one of three members in the rap group Lousy Human Bastards, and he’s here with a new song “Riches.” It’s a driven track about the riches that Jabbar has been pursuing since he got out of jail last year.
His rap group released their debut EP last year, and Jabbar dropped a solo EP Out on Bond out as well. Snubnose Frankenstein, another member of Lousy Human Bastards, features on “Riches” and also did the production. He’s created beats for high profile emcees like California’s Vince Staples. The track is all restrained energy, but it’s surprisingly infectious, with Jabbar showing off impressive lyricism. The beat features sparse bongo drums that sound similar to those on A$AP Ferg’s “Let It Go.”
