J Hus is still on the rise, but the title track from his forthcoming debut album Common Sense already feels like a victory lap. JAE5 and The Compozers lay down a thumping piano bass, soulful organ fills, and a soaring synth to create a beat that is full-bodied and glistening. The self-described "ugly man" J Hus raps with the conviction of a kid who has accepted the fact that he is not prettiest dude on the planet.

Common Sense is out Friday, May 12th. Pre-order it on iTunes. ICYMI, revisit J Hus' March release "Did You See."

Quotable Lyrics

Creep on him, lean on him, witnesses eavesdropping
Keep popping, and keep bopping like I ain't seen nuttin'
Don't make me upset, reach for an object
"Who's that in the passenger?" "Brown skin chocolate"
