For those unfamiliar, Husser is a member of the Montreal-based rap group The Posterz, who have been steadily building their sound and buzz for a few years now. The Posterz are also pursuing solo rap careers though, and Husser may be the first among them to break. Chances are you've seen a video that went viral of Husser freestyling some #bars for Logic, a video which even caught the attention of hard-to-please Charlamagne Tha God. "This track was just a drunk freestyle me and Maestro did at some basement garage party one crazy night way outta the city. Was waiting for the right time to put it out, after the verse got approved by Logic I figured it was a go," Husser says of the track.
What started as a freestyle is now a full-fledged song, backed by flute and piano-riddled production from MonstaBeatz which you might recognize was first utilized by Curren$y on "Roasted." This freestyle isn't off any particular project, but Husser is prepping his debut solo EP for September.
