Hudson Mohawke Says He Has 6 Alternative Versions Of Kanye West's "Father Stretch My Hands" Mar 27, 2016 at 05:09pm
Hudson Mohawke has been a part of the Kanye West producer stable since Cruel Summer, and naturally his name was all over The Life Of Pablo, yet we're still learning about the album process beyond the credits. While he's not cited as a writer or producer on "Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1," the Scottish beatmaker revealed that he has 6 different versions of the song, though he doesn't plan on releasing them anytime soon.

Hudson Mohawke has been a more behind-the-scenes figure when it comes to G.O.O.D. Music releases, but one would still assume he's getting his due credit (and pay), even if he's not releasing music front-and-center of the label.

Mike Dean Hints At Collab From Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Pusha T & More Sep 26, 2015 at 02:31pm
Mike Dean has been a busy man recently. The hall of fame producer executive produced Travi$ Scott's Rodeo and has been playing guitar for Travi$ on tour. He is also playing live guitar for Kanye West's "808s & Heartbreak" shows in L.A., the second of which is happening tonight (Sept. 26). Of course, Dean is friends with some of the most talented folks in the game, and he just tweeted at several of them, perhaps implying that a massive collaboration might be on the way.

Between producing for Kanye West, (arguably) founding the trap-rave genre with Lunice in TNGHT, and being signed to cutting-edge electronic label Warp, Scotland native Hudson Mohawke is a busy man. That's probably why it's taken him close to six years to release a follow-up to 2009's Butter. Next week, he'll drop his new album Lantern, and one week in advance, we get the opportunity to stream it, courtesy of iTunes Radio.

140 Bars Or Less: Tweets Of The Week (April 25 - May 1) May 1, 2015 at 06:14pm
We seem to be hitting somewhat of a lull in the album release cycle, with some big drops coming in June and July (Lil Durk, Migos, Frank Ocean), but no huge ones coming in this week or the next (unless we actually do get Chance The Rapper's Donnie Trumpet & The Social Experiment's SURF). Many of this week's happenings centered on the events surrounding Freddie Gray's funeral and the ensuing protests in Baltimore and NYC, and elsewhere we had basketball playoffs, relationship drama and more.
