In celebration of the Summer Olympics in Rio, Jordan Brand is releasing this gold medal inspired "Olympic" aka "Gold Coin" Air Jordan 5 which we recently saw on the feet of Jimmy Butler at the Nike Air Hangar event in California.

The kicks will officially be hitting retailers this Saturday, August 20th for the standard retail price of $190.

The use of metallic gold on the tongue and shark teeth of the shoe is enough to give it some pop from the mundane white and black color scheme, but not overly gaudy like the Pinnacle "Metallic Gold" Air Jordan 6s that will be releasing later this year.

If anything, the on-foot images shown above will certainly add to the hype that will undoubtedly surround this sneaker as the release date nears.

Some Foot Lockers will be implementing a raffle system for the release so be sure to check out the Launch Locator to find out how your local spots will be handling this weekend's release.

Tickets will be given out for the shoe you have selected on Monday, August 15th and Tuesday, August 16th. Limit one ticket per customer. You must have a valid photo ID to receive a ticket. If your ticket number is drawn you will be notified by phone on Wednesday, August 17th or Thursday, August 18th. If your ticket number is drawn you must be at the store on Saturday, August 20th between store opening time and 6:00 p.m. local time to purchase the shoe. You must have the ticket and show a valid photo ID that matches the name on the list in order to purchase the shoe. Any shoe not purchased by the 6:00 p.m. deadline will be forfeited.
