If you check HotNewHipHop every day, chances are you've seen comments from Mr. Hernandez. Giovannie earns our shout out for most consistency when it comes to his posting-- he's on the site constantly, reminding you of the title of whatever it was we just posted-- and that's about all he'll post. We rarely see a comment from Giovannie that strays from the usual title post. Many of you have responded to Giovannie with accounts of your own-- we've got Giovannie Hernandez Mother, Giovannie Hernandez Father, and more recently ON ON Giovannie Hernandez, who's been doing Giovannie's job for him.
We've got to give Bender Bending Rodriguez props not only for referencing Futurama but for the fact that he stays posting on all our social platforms under the same name-- Bender isn't only on HotNewHipHop, but he's also all over our YouTube channel. It pays off though, as one of Bender's suggestions became its very own What's My Name episode.
Chair's character is pretty straightforward-- and he manages to keep true to form in many of his comments, at the same time remaining hilarious. For example, in one our Hashtagged Hotties articles Chair proclaimed, "I will let any of these bitches sit on me naked." Indeed.
Marlu Da Kang seems to be a relatively new commenter on HNHH, but we've been enjoying his comments, which are always perfectly typed to portray the way Marlu would actually talk (although we can't verify that for certain). It seems like it may be a finnicky business to keep all your comments in character, but Marlu does it with ease and usually evokes a laugh or too. As it happens, one of his funniest comments came on our announcement that there would be this year-end troll recap: "It is sad dat da trolls on dis site are gettin all excited fo one thing out dis whole article haaa y'all some fuckin dorks. Dese niggas even out here in da comments talkin bout how dey da "Kang" or "the best" at dis troll shit. Nigga dat ain't nothin ta be proud of but den again dey are losers so dis is all dey got ta look forward ta in life"
MOST TROLLED ARTIST
Who else? Drake is one of the most hated and most loved at the same time on HotNewHipHop. He's also a popular figure to troll on the site, whether it be through comments or through profiles. Sometimes users create profiles under a certain artist's name to show their support, while at others time it's at the expense of the artist. Either way, Drizzy was a very popular choice this year-- an astounding 473 user profiles on HNHH contain his name.
We are calling out Stank Fanger for having multiple accounts. Yup. We know that there are more of you out there, but none manage to do it so shamelessly as Stank Fanger. Every now and then Stank Fanger will surface in the HNHH comments to promote the latest Stank Crew record or whatever it may be called, you guys have probably seen this at least once in 2013. In recent times, Stank Fanger returned as Stank Fanger (Time Traveller).
ORIGINAL TROLL NAME
As declared by Kanye West himself, the second verse of "New Slaves" is apparently the best rap verse of ALL TIME. Well, trolls took the memo and soon the second verse had its own account on HNHH. Things finally came full circle when the user saw our Hottest Verses Of 2013 list, in which the second verse of "New Slaves" had the #3 spot. The 2nd Verse To New Slaves' response: "OHHHHHHHHHHH?" That was enough to earn him top comment. In true Kanye form, this user tends to post in caps lock only.
Kanye West wasn't the only rapper whose verse had its own trolling account. Jay Z got one too with his verse on "Pound Cake." And while we've seen someone call out this user as Jay Z himself, the user responds that he is not actually Jay Z, just his verse.
Another glorious Kanye West reference-turned-user-profile. "It Ain't Ralph Doe" is a memorable line which transpired during Kanye's infamous interview with Sway In The Morning, when 'Ye was pointing out that Sway's clothing line ain't Ralph Lauren. This particular commenter takes every available opportunity to comment on Kanye-related posts with a line that usually goes something like this, "[Insert relevant name here] ain't Ralph doe." Word.
TROLLS MISSING IN ACTION
For those HNHH users that have been around since our hey-day, you may remember certain trolls used to dominate the site. However we've seen their disappearance in recent times, which makes us wonder what they're up too. Have they taken on new troll accounts? Have they officially logged off HNHH? Whatever the case may be, DatBoySoulja and Officer Ricky are M.I.A.
We count these trolls as mainstays on HotNewHipHop. On any given day, you'll likely see multiple comments on multiple articles from any one of these users, and they are persistent. Whether or not they are giving their honest opinion or just attempting to get a rise out of you, they do their trolling well, 24/7.

HotNewHipHop takes a look at who has been trolling the site the best in 2013.
We at HotNewHipHop are quite aware of our user community, which is very unique in and of itself. If you're on HNHH every day, you get used to seeing certain users all up in the comments, blasting their opinion or inciting arguments. We enjoy the colorful commentary you guys leave on all our posts, albeit we do have some trolls that get out of hand at times, but most of all, it's you guys who keep HNHH thriving all day long.
To close out 2013 and kick off what we hope to be a very successful 2014 at HNHH, we are shouting out some of the most persistent commenters in our community. Some are straight up trolls and some are only on the job half the time, but no matter what, all these dudes deserve props for their devotion to our site, and we appreciate it.
