Did your favorite films of 2016 get the nod?

The Academy Awards nominations ceremony took a slightly different route than usual this year. The Academy live streamed the whole thing on YouTube this morning. The presenters included Jennifer Hudson, Brie Larson, Terrence Howard and others, and each presenter recalled different moments from their Hollywood careers that related to the category before a voiceover went over each categories’ nominees.

La La Land tied the record for most ever nominations at 14, previously set by Titanic and All About Eve. Arrival and Moonlight each got eight. Sadly, Deadpool did not take home any nominations, but there were a few people of color nominated which is a step forward from last year.
