The bootleg copy of the trailer has since been removed.
One of the more anticipated films to release next year has to be Hellboy. The film has been getting some buzz and those in attendance at New York Comic-Con last week got to experience their first look at the film's trailer. Obviously, people were excited about it and although it's frowned upon to film during the screening, somebody managed to get a phone recording of the entire preview. It was actually leaked onto the Internet over the weekend and, obviously, once Lionsgate knew about the leak they shut it down. However, it was up long enough for people to check it out and get excited.
The trailer that was shown during NYCC still hasn't been released to the public but with the leak, that process may be accelerated. It's unclear who recorded the trailer but it's apparent that they were present during the panel discussion about Hellboy with star actor David Harbour. The trailer makes it clear that this version of Hellboy will be more horror than fantasy, which was the opposite direction that Guillermo Del Toro took in 2004.
It was only a matter of time before the trailer would be taken down. If you didn't get a chance to check it out, Inverse made a shot-by-shot documentation of the entire thing so at least there's that. Hellboy is set to release on April 12, 2019. Are you looking out for it?
