Heavy D left behind a debt of $43,967.87

Rapper Heavy D, who passed away last year, left behind a sizeable debt, which he owed to the State of California.

TMZ reports that according to documents filed by the Franchise Tax Board in California, Heavy D had a tax lien of $43,967.87 from the year 2008-2009.

Heavy D is another rapper in a long list who has enountered trouble paying his taxes.

Heavy D passed away on November 8th 2011 from a pulmonary embolism.
