ShakeemX favors a sample-based style of production that recalls the work of J Dilla, which, as powerful as it may be requires a certain adeptness on the mic. Luckily, the rapper rises to the occasion, delivering a solid two-part track with "The Beginning", which hopefully be the first of many great efforts we hear from him.
