HNHH: Heatseekers

2Focus The Truth

Focus The Truth

Why we like Killezzy:

The latest from Killezzy finds him speaking on the struggle to overcome poverty and a disadvantaged youth. The intense, soulful instrumental and contribution from female vocalists perfectly amplifies the determination in his words. This is an anthem for those who dream of a better life, and is not to be confused with any material Meek Mill has put out. This is something different.

Artist Bio:

Killezzy is the Southern Georgia Hip Hop sensation with the hit single “DREAMCHASERS.” Originating from Moultrie, GA, Killezzy comes with a new style, along with lyrics relatable to the hustler, dreamchaser, smoker and everyday person. His lyrics are deep and metaphoric.

Focus The Truth

On his latest cut, Focus The Truth flows braggadocios over a slightly disjointed, string-based instrumental. As he mentions in his bio, “he doesn't just ride the conscious tip,” (despite having a B.A. in English and an M.B.A.), and this track is ample evidence of that. The track is a vivid description of how FTT turns up. Can you dig it?

Artist Bio:

Raised in Jamaica Queens, New York, Jacob Afolabi currently lives in London, UK, recording and producing tracks and music videos. Fond of cartoons and hip hop, Afolabi uses his love of visual and creative arts to recreate lyrical experiences that transcend generations. His tenacity in the music industry is a force to be reckoned with- he started out as a rapper at 14 battle rapping and writing poetry; he recently released his D.U.I. EP, an 11-song project produced mostly by London-based producer, Smoking Indoors. His work is his play-spending his days and nights writing and performing music and watching music videos. The new generation of hip hop, at least for Afolabi, has produced a well-rounded intellectual, with a B.A. in English and an M.B.A., he doesn't just ride the conscious tip, contrary to what people may believe. At the end of the day, his poetic and technical rap just relays the truth. @FocusTheTruth SOS - "Success Over Sleep"

GrantFlows has a knack for imagery, painting vivid pictures with his narrative flows. The rapper has a fairly gruff, but still very emotive cadence. His introspective southern flows recall Big K.R.I.T. at his most reflective, and makes GrantFlows an artist to watch in the future.

Artist Bio:

GrantFlows style combines a unique cadence, crazy flow, and thought provoking lyrics. Paying tribute to the greats, while staying true to his own sound. At 22 yrs, Grant had had it with the real world. The Southern Illinois University grad, decided he would no longer hide his talents. Now, Who Flows?

CamSGBH is a great lyricist, but also a very natural one. The technical aspect of his rhymes is disguised by the ease in which he delivers them. One of his most interesting and effective methods is interacting with sampled vocals, incorporating them into his rhymes seamlessly. The elegance of Cam's flows makes him an artist to watch out for.

Artist Bio:

Just some kid who's pretty slick with words. Check me out and show love if I'm dope.
