Why We Like True Klassiq:

An artist who possesses a  uniquely hard and graveley voice, True Klassiq goes in over tunes in a rough yet unassuming way.  Klassiq flows on a cut, and grabs the listeners attention on radio friendly tracks like "No Matter What", that earned him a spot on HeatSeekers.  He can also rhyme tough on tracks tailor made for back packers.  This versatile skillset is the key to his early success, and you can expect more big things from this rising rapper

Why We Like Devaine:

Devaine has a notable old-school flavor to his music. The jazzy, boom bap production he favors brings back memories of A Tribe Called Quest, and Common's early material. Dev seems to shy away from current trends, sticking with a classic sound that does his laid back, but very capable delivery well. The Toronto emcee brings an interesting story oriented approach to his raps, making him a very engaging personality. The rapper's narrative flows and complimentary classic production land Devaine in our top 4.

Artist Bio:

Devaine (born June, 1990), is a Canadian recording artist from Toronto, Ontario. Inspired heavily by artists: Tupac, Nas, Jay-z and Rakim, he is considered a "hip hop talent that does not base his style off of mainstream trends." His sound is soulful and classic, with lyrics that are witty and sharp, producing a contrast that works flawlessly. Unsigned, he is another dreamer looking for a big break. College graduate and co-founder of the Yacht Club Media Group, Devaine is an artist hoping to bring back the true sound of hip hop. His first single, 'Life in Stereo', prodcued by Beatsofreen, from the unreleased mix tape, "SYNESTHESIA," depicts a story of a young man struggling to live his life through legitimate means. He is well on his way to bringing back that lost sound.

Why We Like OG Flame:

One listen to OG's music and one would never guess that he is still a teenager, as his sound and talent seems seasoned.  Producing all his own cuts, the rapper bares some stylistic resemblance to dual-purpose talents like The-Dream, or Hit-Boy.  A sound, and rhyme flow that is both unique and fully complementary to his beats.  Possessing the ability to go in on tracks, and also deliver stand out hooks either rapping or singing, this artist is the complete package.

Why We Like Missy Love:

Bottom line, Missy Love goes hard. The 19 year old DC spitter rides her minimal beats with an effortless confidence, dropping big punchlines and clever wordplay without stopping to take a breath. Her huge personality is apparent from the second she starts rapping, recalling Lil Kim in her prime. Her flows are far from referential though, and her unique style and undeniable technical ability are what land her in our top 4.
