We recently chopped it up with producer Harry Fraud, who had some serious praise for his incarcerated homie Max B. "I think his impact on the game right now is literally everywhere, whether people understand or not," says Fraud. "I think the kind of melodic rapping that's occurring now, that's his baby...I mean obviously Wiz says it all the time, Drizzy, anyone hitting those melodic sing-song pockets...it's his direct stamp."
"Max would fuckin' rap on...do you remember the "American Boy" beat? He BODIED that," laughs Fraud, alluding to Max B's "American Slore." "Obviously the vocal style, but what people are picking can be lent to Max." Still, he hopes people will pay respects appropriately, when Max ultimately finds himself a free man. "The second he's back out here, everybody will act as if he was influencing them the whole time, which he was...He should be held to a certain level...half-human, half-God."
