With every addition to the FIRE EMOJI playlist comes a degree of added-exposure, even for living legends like Big Guwop. His new project Evil Genius was proof to the naysayers who put a lot of stock in a Gucci-Clone theory only have this drop and erase all doubt. On "Just Like It" featuring an ever-sociopathic 21 Savage, Gucci Mane proves once and for all that his cosmetic clone is actually his real self, and it doesn't stop there.

By some chance, Young Scooter also managed to make the list this week. His song "Sushi" addresses Gucci by name, by which many people have inferred that they are feuding on some level. But upon closer inspection, Young Scooter is merely suggesting that he and Guwop are not well suited as collaborators anymore.

Elsewhere, Kodak Black managed to keep his buzz going strong with arguably the best of his Dying to Live pre-album singles."Testimony" digs into his psyche in a way that makes the other singles seem inconsequential. He talks about being locked up in the penal system, and how it has affected his "bottom line" destiny.

The other artist that really stuck out this week, is perhaps the most unheralded of the bunch, former Odd Future member Domo Genesis. "Power Trip" off his new EP is part of his 100% success rate in 2018. Domo was an all-but-forgotten in the rap game, I myself was guilty of overlooking, but never again.
